Confirmation they are in Samoa!

I have confirmation from Katie that our team is safely in Samoa and with this lovely lady, Lagi. Lagi is our representative in Samoa. She has made all the preparations for our team to arrive and will support them while they are there, we thank God for her. Next step take the ferry to Savaii.  

The Plane Has Landed

I have checked the Fiji Airways 'flight status' online and the website reports that the plane has landed 6:16 am at the Apia airport. Thank you Lord for a safe flight. I will update as soon as I hear from the leaders that they are on the ground.

Morning Update

Good Morning Samoa Bloggers,
   I heard from the leaders this morning at 4:35am; they had just all boarded Fiji Airways bound for Apia, Samoa. They were joined by Dr. Brad, from Hawaii. He will be leading the medical clinic. a mad dash to check in and get through security 

the Samoa Missions team made it onto 

the plane and taxied off for flight.

The Fruit of the Spirit

Our Kids Camp theme this year is the Fruit of the Spirit!

We are praying this for the village we are serving, Matavai on Savai'i, and for our team! 

God is Good!

SAMOA - READY, SET...

 lights and laying tile floor.

Meggan trying out her new skill, power washing. She thinks this could be her new summer job. :)

God provided a pool for us to maintenance. The day we arrived a pipe broke on the pools drain and within a day emptied itself. We took the opportunity to scrub the pool, power wash it to ready it for very needed paint job. It is a great feeling that we are able to help with something that provides so much fun and exercise for the kids. 

Another wonderful day doing VBS on the reservation.  We were blessed with a cooler day and more rain! Working with the kids was great.

 Took time this morning to pray looking at God's beauty. Today the team will tile, paint, install lighting...in preparation for AICM's 30th anniversary celebration. Today the focus is serve in our devotions and my prayer has been that God connects with each team member.

At the cross of our Creator! We had the privilege this morning to worship with White Mountain Christian Church hearing Robert, from AICM, peach the word. He shared with us the necessity in being part of a body of believers in order to spur each toward love.

What a blessing to have a day to enjoy the beauty of God's creation and bond as a team before we jump into work and VBS on Monday.

We have made it safe and sound to AICM. Thank you for the prayers. Right now it is 60 and just finished raining. Now we are off to dinner.  Check out my Facebook page for pictures.

Well, six hours down seventeen to go!

Bula from Fiji! After a tearful goodbye, a bumpy bus ride, and over 300 bug bites later we landed in Nadi, Fiji for our eight hour layover. Thankfully, we were able to leave the airport to get some fresh air and a quick nap on this fine Monday afternoon. Please be praying for our long flight home, and for the health of our team.

We’ll see you later today at LAX, wait, I mean tomorrow at 1:30pm-ish. DON’T FORGET TO PICK US UP.... please.
